Immaculate Heart Religious Painting: Stabat Mater
The painting, as a central work, belongs to the composition Stabat Mater ("Mother was standing") one of the most representative themes in Christian art, in the form of a cross, made up of four other works that represent the characters that appeared around the Cross of Jesus, which is represented at the top of the composition. On both sides of the Sacred Heart, we find the Virgin Mary to the left of the spectator and in turn to the right of the crucified Christ. This scene includes Mary Magdalene on the right, fitting Saint John the Apostle at the top.
