Religious expressionist painting of Jesus Crucified

The painting belongs to the collection Golgotha: The great drama of this humanity. A series in small format that includes one of the events of The Passion of Christ: Jesus of Nazareth in his last breath, contextualized on Mount Calvary. The work is represented in a medium shot to focus on the face and torso of Christ presented with open arms revealing his crucifixion. His head falls forward, revealing his great crown of thorns. The blood, the musculature, as well as the wounds of his punished body are resolved with very loose brushstrokes and stains. Almost abstractly, they reflect the heartbreaking pain that Our Lord suffered on his Cross.
