Description
Religious Painting of the Birth of the Child Jesus
The picture of the newborn is a commemoration of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ which is celebrated from December 24 to 25 and which inaugurates Christmas time. His birth is narrated in the New Testament by the evangelists Matthew and Luke. In the scene of this play, contextualized in the manger, it has been chosen to omit the very common representation of his blessed Mother; the Virgin Mary, as well as Joseph, the shepherds, the choir of angels or the symbol of the lamb, focusing solely on the resting of the Holy baby in a warm and intimate way thanks to the approach of the frame and the illumination on his sweet and divine face.
