Description
Religious Painting of the Birth of the Child with its Mother
The painting is a commemoration of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ which is celebrated from December 24 to 25 to inaugurate Christmas time. His birth is narrated in the New Testament by the evangelists Matthew and Luke. The scene, of great intimacy, is contextualized in the manger, where the newborn is depicted being tucked in and warmly kissed by his blessed Mother Mary wrapped between his eyes.
