Religious painting of the Italian priest, educator and writer founder of the Salesian Congregation (The Pious Society of the Catholic cleric Saint Francis de Sales). He also founded the Association of Mary Help of Christians, as well as the international congregation of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and the Association of Salesian Cooperators, promoting the Salesian Bulletin and the educational method of Preventive system of the Oratory, which was at the service of the neediest youth. It stood out precisely for its defense of teaching through numerous works, becoming one of the main promoters of the printing press. All his work made him acquire valuable prestige inside and outside the country. John Paul II gave him the title of "Father, Teacher and Friend of the Young", being canonized by Pope Pius XI in 1934.
