Description
Religious Painting of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Picture inspired by the original image of the Marian apparition, located in the Basilica of Guadalupe to the north of Mexico City. With great strength and intensity in the brushstroke, the Virgin Mary is represented with her hands joined in a sign of prayer, covered with rays that symbolize the Aztec divinity of the Sun. Her loose hair, a sign of virginity, appears under the mantle composed of the 46 stars that form the constellations that were just seen in the year of their appearance.
