Religious painting of the Italian Jesuit belonging to the religious order of The Society of Jesus founded in 1534 by the Spanish religious Ignacio de Loyola. He was beatified by Pope Paul (Paul) V in 1605, and canonized in 1726 by Benedict XIII, declaring him Patron Saint of Christian Youth. From a very young age he had contact with his company and already wanted to be part of religious life. He stood out for his work to fight the plague and his heroism for the care of the sick until his death in 1591 due to the spread of the disease.
